Symphonic Jazz Orchestra

Comprised of some of the top musicians in the country, the 68-member orchestra conducted by music director Mitch Glickman returns for rich explorations at the intersection of jazz and classical music.

Experience an extraordinary evening as the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra is joined by two legendary saxophonists, Ernie Watts & Bob Mintzer. The concert celebrates the visionary composer and music director Jack Elliott, showcasing his collection of commissioned works. The program includes compositions by John Clayton, Bob Mintzer and the premiere of the "Night Court Fantasy," based on Elliott's TV and film themes. The concert will also feature a world premiere from Bevan Mason, runner-up of the 2023 SJO George Duke Commissioning Prize."
