Keeping Our Community Safe:
Event Postponements at the Carpenter Center

 

Dear Friends,

 

On behalf of the Carpenter Center, know that our thoughts are with you and your loved ones during this challenging and unprecedented time. Your health and safety is our highest priority. We are therefore proactively suspending all public events for the remainder of our 2019/2020 season.

 

 

INDEFINITELY POSTPONED PERFORMANCES

  • Ann Hampton Callaway on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 7 p.m.
  • An Evening with Anne Lamott on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 8 p.m.
  • DRUM TAO 2020 on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 8 p.m.
  • The Doo Wop Project on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 2 p.m.
  • The President’s Party on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 5 p.m.
  • An Evening with Bill Nye on Saturday, Apr 25, 2020 at 8 p.m.
  • Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles with Villalobos Brothers on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 6 p.m.
  • Ballet Folklórico de Los Ángeles with Jarabe Mexicano on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 8 p.m.

 

The following Arts for Life events have also been postponed:

 

  • Bob Cole Conservatory of Music Concert on March 18, 2020 at 8 p.m.
  • Versa-Style Dance Company on March 20, 2020 at 7 p.m.
  • Carpenter Center Free Lecture Series, Cultura—Celebration of Mexican Folklore on April 23, 2020 at 7 p.m.
  • Shakespeare Aloud readings at the Los Altos Neighborhood library. Please note: Shakespeare Aloud is now taking place on Zoom! Learn more.

REFUND INFORMATION

All tickets purchased for upcoming Carpenter Center 2019/2020 season events will be refunded. Your patience is greatly appreciated as our staff is currently working remotely.

 

  • You do not need to take any steps to initiate a refund
  • Carpenter Center season performance purchases made with a credit card after January 30, 2019 have been refunded by point of purchase for the cost of the ticket.
  • Carpenter Center season performance purchases made more than 90 days ago, or in person at the Carpenter Center Arts Ticket Office by cash or check, will be issued a check to the on-file billing address for the cost of the ticket. While we are making every effort to issue refunds as quickly as possible, this is a time-consuming process even under the best of circumstances. We appreciate your patience.

 

Our Arts Ticket Office on campus is currently closed while our box office team works remotely. If you have additional questions, please contact the Arts Ticket Office by email at cota-cpac@csulb.edu.

 

Musical Theatre West: The Musical Theatre West productions of Mame and Treasure Island are postponed. Musical Theatre West is working with the Carpenter Center to reschedule performances. The Carpenter Center Ticket Office cannot assist with tickets to the Musical Theatre West production of Mame or Treasure Island. Please contact MTW at 562.856.1999 or tickets@musical.org for more information or to learn about other upcoming performances.

With the suspension of our current season come new and unanticipated challenges. Your support is essential in allowing us to continue to bring the best performing arts experiences to you and the entire Carpenter Center community.
